Monitoring Study on Dust Dispersion Properties during Earthwork Construction

چکیده
Dust generated in earthwork construction activities can seriously affect the air quality at a site and have adverse effects on health of workers. To accurately quantitively analyze distribution characteristics dust effect prevention measures during under normal with control measures, multiple collection points one meteorological parameter point were placed site. From half an hour before to after construction, particle concentration was recorded once every minute. The monitoring results indicated that there significant positive correlation between number soil shipments. highest earth excavation site, followed by area waste truck’s transportation path. Earth primarily resulted generation many coarse particles, which near average increments PM2.5 TSP (total suspended particulate) caused 55.06 375.17 ?g/m3 respectively. increment decreased 72.01% 40.16%, respectively, when spray system artificial sprinkling adopted. Through methodology this study, companies systemically plan their work considering key equipment be used effectively manage pollutants found within sites.

This study characterized exposure for dust-producing construction tasks. Eight common construction tasks were evaluated for quartz and respirable dust exposure by collecting 113 personal task period samples for cleanup; demolition with handheld tools; concrete cutting; concrete mixing; tuck-point grinding; surface grinding; sacking and patching concrete; and concrete floor sanding using both ti...
متن کاملEnvironmental impact of geometric earthwork construction in pre-Columbian Amazonia.
There is considerable controversy over whether pre-Columbian (pre-A.D. 1492) Amazonia was largely "pristine" and sparsely populated by slash-and-burn agriculturists, or instead a densely populated, domesticated landscape, heavily altered by extensive deforestation and anthropogenic burning. The discovery of hundreds of large geometric earthworks beneath intact rainforest across southern Amazoni...

This research was conducted to identify the dust storms in the Midwest of Iran from June 16 to 19, 2015. To investigate the synoptic conditions of the causes of this phenomenon, the ECMWF has an array of 0.125 degrees, including geopotential, omega, and sea level pressure, orbital and meridian components of the wind, specific humidity Soil moisture was applied to a depth of 10 cm. Similarly, fo...
متن کاملComparative Experimental Evaluation of Dust Sensors for Environmental Monitoring on Construction Sites
Fine particle emissions (PM10) from demolition and construction activities are now recognized as significant causes of pollution. So they can cause health hazards both to workers and to people living and working outside the site’s boundary in the local neighbourhood. Although admissible concentration values are defined by national legislation and regulations worldwide, there is no permanent mon...
